Niladri Kumar is one of the most Popular Sitar and Zitar Maestro’s . He is a Celebrity Instrumental Player and is very famous for his classical music. He has played music for Bollywood Movies as well. He has also worked with various music directors in Hindi cinema, including A.R. Rahman, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy and Pritam. He was conferred the Sangeet Natak Akademi’s Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, awarded to young musicians, in March 2007.
