Akshay Mhatre started his acting career on television, with the ETV Marathi show Sawar Re, which was a remake of the popular Hindi series Naa Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha. The success of the series paved way for Akshay`s feature film debut, which came in the 2016 movie Youth.
